The sports giant Nike reorganizes its digital division in Mexico with the appointment of Guillermo Petrei as the new general manager direct digital commerce starting this May. The executive is no stranger to the business of the American company, considering that he joined the ranks of Nike more than 8 years ago.

In his new position, Petrei will be responsible for leading and empowering Nike’s digital ecosystem in the Mexican market, which includes the brand’s e-commerce store, Nike.com; as well as the Nike App and Snkrs mobile applications, among other digital tools.

Guillermo Petrei replaces Fernando Kondayen, who in April 2022 assumed the same position, but now at Nike Japan. It is worth noting that Kondayen had in his hands the launch of Nike’s direct-to-consumer digital commerce in Mexico, this in September 2020.

Petrei joined Nike in January 2014 as chief strategy officer for the North American division, a position he held for over 3 years before becoming senior director of Nike DTC, and later senior director of Nike digital. global O2O/omnichannel commerce.

The George Washington University graduate also has a master’s degree in business administration and management from The Wharton School in Pennsylvania.
