Two people were taken to hospital after being shot in northwest Miami-Dade. They are a woman and her son who received immediate medical attention after the incident.
The shooting occurred at the intersection of 80th Street and 11th Court around 9:20 p.m. Friday. Police and emergency services rushed to the scene and found an active scene.
Eyewitnesses said they heard at least six shots.
Police said the teenager had been hit by a bullet in one of his lower limbs.
The victims were taken to Ryder Trauma Center for medical treatment, where they are in stable condition.
Police have yet to release details of the potential perpetrator or the reason for the shooting. Investigations are continuing to clarify the facts.
