More than 10,000 electoral officials ensure the integrity of the mid-term elections in the US, according to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which expressed confidence that the elections will be safe.

CISA Director Jen Easterly explained in a video that those officials will take care, both at the state and local levels, that “every valid ballot is counted and that the official results are rigorously counted and reported.”

For his part, a CISA official, quoted by the CNN television network, indicated that his agency has not seen “any specific or credible threat to disrupt the electoral infrastructure.”

During the day, she added in remarks to the media, there could be low-level cyberattacks that could temporarily take state and local websites offline, but nothing that would stop voters from casting their ballots.
