Miley Cyrus lifted the curtain on his new music scene with Endless summer vacation, an album whose first two business cards are strongly marked by his break with Liam Hemsworth. And although it may seem the opposite, this album, the eighth of his recording career, is not a disc project of spite but of liberation.
This was transmitted by the American soloist in Flowers and he does it again with River, the second single of this new musical adventure which has just been released as a music video along with the rest of all the songs.
In a song that is an ode to synthesizers and reminds us of the spirit of 80s music, Miley Cyrus builds a whole couple story with very clear references (“I tied my hair the way you liked it” “) to what happened between the Hemsworth-Cyrus couple that ended in divorce and rumors of infidelity.
So much so that the artist seems to have revealed it in his two audiovisual proposals filmed in the house where, allegedly, they were unfaithful. In fact, as we have already told you in advance of RiverSome social media accounts point out that the number of models/dancers in her latest black and white clip, 14, is not a random number, nor is Flowers’ gold dress.
But beyond the messages about alleged infidelities, there are 150 seconds of pure musical energy in a song halfway between synth pop, rock, disco… You can’t listen to Miley Cyrus without falling in love with her voice and the strength of his words. (“my heart is beating so hard it’s drowning me”). The liberation of the interpreter when the water flows in her body and her pretension as a woman leaves us once again riveted to the seat.
