Miami is preparing to receive this weekend thousands of people who will participate in the largest electronic music festival in the world, the Ultra festival which will once again take place in Bayfront Park.
Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales said, “What we want to remind everyone if they come to the event, be ready to leave on time, be calm in traffic is going to be the one of the incidents that will cause more concern.”
Miami Fire Department spokesman Pete Sanchez said: “We have been planning this event for months with police and Ultra and we are going to have 100 firefighter paramedics at the event with multiple resources to help people and give first treatment if necessary.” .
More than 55,000 people are expected every day to enjoy the music of the greatest representatives of electronic music on the 7 stages.
“This year, one of the things we’ve changed is that we’re not going to allow bags inside the event.”
Sabina Covo, Miami City Commissioner, said, “I want to thank the festival for the measures that noise mitigation for our residents is important. One of the biggest problems we had last year with 15 arrests was that we had a lot of phone thefts, we remind people having fun to put their phone in their front pocket.”
And since the Ultra festival is not the only event in the area, residents and visitors are asked to watch the detours which will begin tomorrow, Thursday, at 9 p.m.
“If they have to come, take an Uber or the subway that leaves them in front of Bayfront Park.”
The organizers ensure that the safety of participants and residents is the priority of this event which brings together people from more than 100 countries in a single compass.
The important thing is to stay hydrated and with your group and they will get lost, have an identified place where they can find themselves if they get lost because it is a very big event.
