A man attempting to cross a street in Miami Gardens while in his wheelchair died Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle.
Miami Gardens police said the incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the 19900 block of Northwest and 36th Avenue; scene where the victim died, who has not yet been identified.
Authorities say the man was crossing the street when he was struck by a westbound Jeep Wrangler.
No information has been released at this time on the driver’s condition or if charges will be brought against him.
