A man was killed on Saturday in Plantation after a shooting involving a member of the police, authorities said.
Police were called to the scene in the 300 block of North State Road 7 near the Plantation Inn and Lounge.
Authorities confirmed a shooting involving an officer took place and one person died at the scene and was later identified as Homea Spence.
No officers were injured and police did not release additional details, while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will handle the investigation.
