A 28-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after allegedly stabbing six people during a morning confrontation in downtown Los Angeles.

Paramedics were dispatched at 2:12 a.m. to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of West Seventh Street and transported six people to hospital, said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Their conditions were not immediately known.

Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to the scene around 2:13 a.m., where they learned that during a confrontation with two groups of people, the suspect had begun stabbing multiple victims, a door-keeper said. LAPD word to the City News Service.

Police arrested the 28-year-old shortly after the incident.
