LIVE | Via Crucis of Pope Francis: follow here the Good Friday mass in the Vatican

The Pope Francisco will preside over the Holy Friday like he did last year. Like the Holy Week 2020, the pontiff will attend the Way of the cross from St. Peter’s Square and not around the Colosseum at night, as was the tradition.

As it is recalled, the extraordinary and lonely image of Pope Francis in the middle of the empty St. Peter’s Square was the emblem last year before the global tragedy unleashed by the pandemic of coronavirus.

On that occasion, the leader of the 1.3 billion Catholics spoke of “the darkest hour” before the drama of death due to contagion of COVID-19.

This year, according to the director of the Vatican press office, Matteo Bruni, the meditations of the Friday Santo they have been written by a group of scout children from Umbria (central Italy) and from the Roman parish of the Holy Martyrs of Uganda.

The different stations will be illustrated by the drawings made by children who reside in accommodation houses in Rome and who have suffered discrimination and humiliation.

What time is Mass on Good Friday?
