¿Es Hogwarts Legacy a good game? Well, the easy answer, at least from my point of view, is that yes it is a good game. But in this post I do not come to answer this question, but rather I will answer the question at the top of this post, from if it is really a popular game.
Many of you already know this, but this game It sold and continues to sell a lot. Not just because it’s a good game, but because many Harry Potter fans have bought it even without ever playing a single video game.
Expectations for this game were high, and there are many people who have played Hogwarts Legacy. However, with these things there is always the question of whether the game managed to live up to the high expectations or if he failed.
The legacy of Hogwarts, overrated?
Well, to often answer these questions people shoot Metacritic. The Xbox Series version is the one that has received the most attention on said website, with an average of 88, which is a pretty high rating, approaching the 90 that usually goes for totally essential games.
But it wouldn’t be the first time this had happened. a game receives an average in Metacritic but the community disagrees with this rating. And it turns out… many players who have played the title assured that Hogwarts Legacy is not so bad, that this average above 80 shows that the press overrated the game. And the reasons they give for saying that this title is overrated are as follows:

So… is it really overrated?
There is one thing that I have heard very often, it is that If the Harry Potter universe didn’t exist oh Hogwarts Legacy made no reference to Hogwarts and had little to do with Harry Potter, the game would have received lower ratings in all likelihood. So we can say that… yes, it is overrated.
However, the context must be taken into account. It’s a game based on a universe that a lot of fans are in love with, and what the game needed to showcase the most was within the setting, music and performance of Hogwarts.
