A section of Highway 5 was left looking like a river after Sun Valley flooded on Friday.
The freeway was flooded near Penrose and Sheldon streets. At least one car was left floating in outlying villages, while cars using inner lanes caused water to spill over the highway separation.
It was just one example of drivers being trapped by floodwaters on Friday. In Burbank, several cars were stuck near Burbank Airport.
A flash flood warning was issued in Los Angeles County through 10 p.m. Friday. Heavier rain is forecast around 11 p.m.
