Due to severe weather conditions in some areas in northern Colorado, the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Weld County on Monday afternoon, June 7.
At around 5 pm a tornado was reported that made landfall and lasted approximately 30 minutes and traveled 5 miles.
The tornado was visible from virtually the entire north Denver area toward Loveland and Greeley.
At least 15 tornadoes were reported over the weekend in Colorado.
The Platteville Gilcrest Fire Department (PGFD) said in a press release that the tornado damaged some structures, some animals had been reported missing, but that so far there were no reports of people injured.
County Road 21 between Highway 66 and County Road 32.5 will remain closed until further notice, PGFD said.
