A situation we hear more and more from homeowners in South Florida associations. Today, the owners of the units of this complex in Hialeah denounce irregularities and say they have irrefutable proof

With maximum uncertainty. This is how a bunch of homeowners say they are in Mango Hill Condominium 5 in Hialeah

According to them, they have been fighting for months to clarify the financial irregularities they have observed with the association’s board of directors.

Michael Lastra, owner of the unit says, “They’re collecting $7,926 here to make this payment, when in reality they’re collecting $6,637.”

The figures these owners allege are proof of the inconsistent maintenance and insurance efforts of the entire property, but apparently that’s not the only thing going on.

“The certificate is not there, nor in front of the Tallahassee condominium association in the corporations, they did everything illegally.”

“They gave me 288, I paid 60 for maintenance, 100 later, last year 100 more and now 100 more, no mijo this is Hialeah, what people with limited resources live here,” says another owner.

“What can be done in terms of a new directive, because it is becoming an epidemic”, pleads another owner.

To this complaint is added the attempt to remove the board on which these neighbors would have succeeded in agreeing last year. It was also not possible because some signatures canceled the decision, but Mirta García, one of the people who signed this document, claims to have been deceived, since the letter was in English and they told him said it was up to everyone to attend the meeting.

This Monday we also managed to speak with the ex-treasurer of the association. He says he quit a year ago, but he doesn’t know how he’s still on state records.

Orlando Contreras fears being “uninsured. Something happens, something burns and we find ourselves in the street”.

We tried to contact the company that manages this condo, Advanx Property Management, as well as the chairman of the association’s board of directors, Wilson Mora, but we did not receive a response.
