“Jigokuraku” is the hot new anime, and in Gabimaru seems to have found that male protagonist that so many masses end up displacing. But Gabimaru is not everything, and of course we can stand out a female character who is unquestionably poised to bear much of the weight of the story: Sagiri. Indeed, we have already been able to see this swordsman in action on more than one occasion, and the anime has already given us enough material about it.
Who is Sagiri in Jigokuraku and what is her story
- Heaven from Hell: Jigokuraku initially features Sagiri as an antagonist of Gabimarubecause he has a particular mission vis-à-vis the protagonist: to put an end to his life.
- Sagiri comes from a long line of executioners who for generations have been dedicated to the execution of prisoners sentenced to death, and at the beginning Gabimaru is just one more of the collection.
- However, Sagiri’s main role in Hell’s Paradise is eventually discovered: Jigokuraku. Its mission is to recruit Gabimaru to become one of many inmates with a chance to earn a pardon letter for his crimesalthough in exchange they must find the elixir of eternal life on an island full of paranormal dangers.
- Despite the fact that Sagiri seems like a cold person and with everything under her control, the truth is that the weight of his lineage is very difficult for him to bearto the point that in practically all executions she is seen with doubts.
- Being the only female in the executioner family causes many to underestimate and minimize Sagiri’s talent.who already suffered as a child from having to embark on a professional career for which she did not seem particularly interested.
What are Sagiri’s abilities?
- Unlike Gabimaru, Sagiri hasn’t been shown to have any special abilities yet, so I really the only thing he has in battle is his katana.
- In battle, Sagiri showed a skill with his sword worthy of the elite of his executioners.
- In only 2 episodes of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, Sagiri was seen behead multiple prisoners in a row with little effort.
- Although not at the same limit as Gabimaru, since it is explained that to repeatedly cut a neck, more than one hit is required, it goes without saying that Sagiri also has a tremendously worked physique which gives you high enough reaction speed and impact force to pull off clean runs.
Although Sagiri’s personal mission is not as clear and obvious as Gabimaru’s desire to find his wife, it is clear that one of the executor’s priorities will be to prove to herself and everyone around her that she has the talent to inherit the line of executors to which she belongs. It is clear that she already has the technique of the sword, it only remains to see how she faces all these demons that persecute her with each of her executions.
