Kissimmee, Florida. – Residents of Kissimmee can use three Tesla cars for free to travel downtown and other select destinations.

The city’s local authorities have invested more than $400,000.00 in the purchase of electric cars which have been made available to the community through the services of the Freebe company.

The transport is intended for use over very short distances such as train stops, the College of Valencia and, in general, the area of the downtown.

The city’s goal in purchasing the Teslas is to help community residents more easily reach specific locations in Osceola County.

Stephanie Becharra, spokesperson for Kissimmee, said in an interview with Telemundo 31 that “we want more people to come and visit us, whether they are tourists, residents, maybe students, and that they can move here, through this area, through our community in the city of Kissimmee.”

The city has entered into a contract for at least 12 months. “After 12 months, they have the option to continue,” Becharra said.

The goal for the future with cars is to expand the coverage area and integrate more vehicles

For the moment, this service is available Monday to Friday from 6 am to 9 pm, times which may change in the event of particular events.

Currently, the Freebee company provides the service to more than 30 municipalities in the state of Florida.
