Four people have been arrested in connection with online prostitution in Broward County.
According to Broward County authorities, the investigation began in October 2021, when detectives began investigating websites operating in Broward that advertised female escorts.
The investigation focused on three websites: “Platinum pleasures”, “So sexy escorts” and “Queen of hearts”, suspected of being involved in criminal activities related to prostitution.
After discovering that the women advertised on each website were based at various hotels in Broward or Miami-Dade counties, detectives began making arrests in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines and Plantation all Monday.
The brothers Justo and Jack Fernández have been identified as the operators of “Platinum pleasures”, Marcelo Arbelo as the operator of “So sexy escort” and Yaydelin Battle as the operator of “Queen of hearts”.
Ms. Battle was arrested in Osceola County by the Osceola County Sheriff’s SWAT team and is expected to be extradited to Broward County.
The four suspects face charges of profiting from prostitution and money laundering. Also, Mr. Arbelo also faces additional charges related to sexual assault and human trafficking in Doral.
Authorities are working together to dismantle the prostitution ring and are asking anyone with additional information to contact them.
