The date of the next playstation display The event could take place before Summer Game Fest in June, said Jeff Grubb. Sony’s long-awaited event has yet to be officially announced, but Grubb suggested it will air ahead of Geoff Keighley’s annual gaming event, which is set to kick off on June 8.
When is the next PlayStation Showcase?
Grubb made the request via Twitter, posting a list of summer game events and the dates they will take place. This includes the Xbox Showcase and Starfield Direct, which Grubb says will take place after Summer Game Fest on June 11, a Ubisoft Forward presentation on June 12, and the PlayStation Showcase in a loosely defined “before Summer Game Fest” window.

This means PlayStation Showcase will likely take place in early June, possibly between June 1 and June 7. It’s still unclear what will be shown at this event, but there are plenty of PS5 games players want to see more of, including Insomniac’s two upcoming Marvel games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine.
Showcase is rumored to take place before E3 2023, but E3 is now canceled. Grubb also noted that Showcase will deliver bigger and better games after the last disappointing screening of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League State of Play, which the Game Mess podcast host called a “must have.”
