Several families have been affected after a fire broke out at a four-unit apartment complex in North Lauderdale.
The fire broke out at the building in the 7700 block of 10th Street in northwest North Lauderdale shortly after 1:30 a.m.
North Lauderdale firefighters were in the area and successfully controlled the flames while investigating possible causes of the blaze.
A total of nine people were inside the house, which is divided into four units, but no injuries were reported.
The Red Cross was on site to take care of the victims, who will not be able to return home.
