although yesterday has come the Ligue 1 POTM in January he FIFA 23 and February aren’t over yet, we already know who LaLiga Santander’s candidates are for the next Player of the Month. Frenkie de Jong is the footballer with the highest average in his gold version, followed by Sergio Canales. Whichever he chooses, it looks like he would need a big upgrade to be truly valuable in Ultimate Team. And you can vote for your favorite from the usual site.

POTM FIFA 23 – LaLiga Santander Nominees (February)

Design made possible by FifaRosters.com.
  • Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona): He didn’t add any goals or assists but we guess they will have included him for his good performance beyond those stats. They have won all the games of the month and are leaders with a considerable advantage over the second classified. He already has a Path to Glory in FIFA 23, but he comes at a high price. Maybe the POTM could be a little cheaper and a lot more affordable. He is an MC with little danger in the last meters, although very fine in the organization.
  • Sergio Canales (Real Betis): Three goals and two assists, they won two games and lost two others. If he were to appear, he could be a useful quality striker but would really appreciate a star upgrade. He would be much more valuable if he hit the four on the wrong leg. Apart from the fact that he could also serve, as a quality midfielder, if he received a big boost in defense (so as not to clash too much at the back).
  • Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid): Like Frenkie de Jong, he hasn’t scored or assisted during the month. His club have won all but one game, and in FIFA 23 he could be a very complete midfielder if he improves his numbers a lot. Given that his natural stats are low but balanced, with a powerful upgrade, this could be worthwhile.
  • Reinildo (Atletico Madrid): They also didn’t score or assist in February and they only conceded a draw to their rivals. He would need to improve his pace a bit to be useful as a winger and even if we could play him as a centre-back he probably wouldn’t offer the performance of the other alternatives for his height of 180m.
  • Oihan Sancet (Athletic de Bilbao): They have won their last three games and he has assisted with four goals. Even if its Future Stars aren’t bad as an affordable but decent optionit seems hard for her to be useful as a POTM because a lot of her gold card stats are too low.
  • Fran Garcia (Rayo Vallecano): He didn’t score or assist, they won one game in the month and drew two more. As with Sancet, he already has a cheap Future Stars in Ultimate Team and it seems hard to beat him.
  • Gabri Vega (Celta de Vigo): Four points out of a possible nine and added two goals. His base card in FIFA 23 is a bronze medal with horrible stats, so he would need an awesome upgrade to be decent.
