Until November 2024 we will be with the tributes to the manga of “dragonball“, for those who have doubts with that of ‘cover conversions that have been made to date. And indeed, as the title of the article revealed to you, today’s surprise is that we have one more of the aforementioned covers, this one being the one that puts “The Promised Neverland” manga artist Demizu Posuka as managing director.

Dragon Ball Manga Adds The Promised Neverland Cartoonist To 40th Anniversary Tribute

So, I leave you with the result that Posuka-sensei redesigned the cover of the manga volume 22 from “Dragon Ball” (via WSJ_manga):

In case of doubt, I specify that the left cover is the one designed for the occasion by the artist of “The Promised Neverland”, while the cover on the right is the original created by Akira Toriyama himself. Honestly, I have to say that I like the work Posuka Demizu did this time.

The most remarkable thing I see in the illustration is that even the addition of characters and scenery keeps gasoline wonderfully from the original cover. Not only that, but the design itself is stunning, and the point of view that Akira Toriyama used in the first place is used perfectly in the overhaul.

We still have a little more than half of this project as a tribute to “Dragon Ball”, and the truth is that I have no idea which authors will come into play soon. The truth is that it is becoming more and more difficult for me to be sure of my personal TOP with the names that have participated and the different proposals that have emerged. As the level continues at this rate, it seems to me that I will have to rethink by doing the ranking of 0.
