It’s strange, but even if we saw”Dragon Ball Super: Super heroes” and that he knows perfectly the main events told by the film, I can’t deny having an interest in seeing how things go in the manga. Because indeed, it seems that almost everyone thinks that the adaptation by Toriyama and Toyotaro is going to have some changes from the movie as suchsomething I agree with and will actually talk about next.

Because if things change from the original (something that seeing the “Dragon Ball Super” manga and anime we already know wouldn’t be weird at all), I think these 3 things should be clearly reviewed:

Gohan Beast, finally explained

  • One of the things that left the most bitter taste in my mouth in the long term, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is Gohan Beast Transformation.
  • Not because of the transformation in question, which I like, nor because of the combat moments which were clear homages to the original battle between Gohan and Cell, which I also liked. But because You just have no idea what this transformation is or where it came from..
Beast Gohan is cool, but what exactly is he?
  • In summary, Toriyama explained that it was something like ‘Awakening Gohan’s Inner Beast‘. Great, but that means nothing to me. We’ve spent years with things like Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego that almost seem like science with the variables you have to consider on them, and yet out of nowhere Gohan gets a form that puts him on the same level and nobody have the slightest idea what that entails.
  • Here is my first big change: that the Gohan Beast is WELL explained in the manga, something the movie didn’t address at all.

Goten and Trunks, in Super Saiyan please

  • The Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero manga prequel arc made one thing very clear: Goten and Trunks vividly remember their transformation into Super Saiyan.
  • Why am I reporting it? Well, because in her appearance in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroat a time when it was already perfectly clear that this was a crisis, they dedicated themselves to simply attacking in their base form.

As children, they turned into Super Saiyans at the first change, why not in the movie?
  • Not only that, but even after merging with Gotenks (even though it went wrong) they also didn’t activate Super Saiyan at this moment.
  • Yes both transform into Super Saiyan to fight weak androids like the ones we see from Dr. Hedo in the prequel, it should make perfect sense for them to do the same when the enemy is a clear threat to everyone. Well, with more logic and reason actually.

Broly, with more “screen” time

  • Broly was unquestionably one of the most interesting characters to see in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and he appeared, but briefly and leaving more questions than anything.
  • To start, How come the moment when Vegeta and Goku go looking for him to train with them on the planet Beerus? This is something the manga should address, as the movie left it out.

Will we see Broly training to master his Berserker state?
  • Besides, what kind of training does broly do? We have already seen that the idea was that he could control this phase of Berserker that completely drives him crazy, but we could not appreciate what he does, its implications and its immediate effects.
  • In general, this is an ideal situation for introduce Broly well in the manga (in the end his film did not have an adaptation) and deals with some of the aspects that I mentioned, because in the end it is clear that he will be a key element in the eventual battle against Black Freeza .

And these are the main aspects in which I think the manga should differ from the movie “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”. Or, rather than differ, just explore everything in a more logical and in-depth way than the feature film, which ended up going more to the point than anything else. In any case, this month of March it’s time to start removing doubts with what will be chapter 91 of the “Dragon Ball Super” manga.
