Russell Westbrook had a season-high 36 points, as did Robert Covington, who had 27 as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 141-132 on Wednesday night in the opener of a two-game series .
Both teams played decimated Wednesday and will meet Friday in Memphis.
Westbrook hit five 3-pointers without missing a single one and dished out 10 assists. Covington was 9 for 10 from the field, including his seven 3-pointers.
Bones Hyland added 20 points for Los Angeles, including 12 in the fourth quarter, to help the Clippers pull away in the final seven minutes.
Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 36 points and nine assists. Dillon Brooks added 30 points and all five Memphis starters finished in double digits.
The Grizzlies had won seven straight and 12 straight at home.
