A volcanic era on the Las Vegas Strip will go down in history.
Clark County Commissioners on Wednesday approved the permits and designs that will transform the Mirage Volcano by Hard Rock International.
According to Clark County, the Mirage’s existing tower will remain on the property. However, Hard Rock intends to add a 660-foot-tall guitar-shaped tower that will include 600 suites.
Hard Rock International previously said the company wanted to “reimagine every aspect of the resort” by reworking the existing property. The Seminole Hard Rock in Florida currently houses a similar guitar-shaped hotel.
