A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash that closed all northbound lanes of the tollway near Deerfield Beach on Sunday morning, authorities said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, multiple police and fire departments responded to the crash which happened just after 6 a.m. on the northbound turnpike near 10th Street SW. , just north of the Sawgrass Highway in Deerfield Beach.
The injured officer was transported with minor injuries to an area hospital and no other injuries were reported at this time.
Broward Traffic Homicide Detectives are investigating what led to the accident. Since then, all northbound lanes of the Turnpike have reopened.
