A walker died when he was shot and then hit by the car in which his assailant was fleeing in broad daylight in the Bronx (NYC).

The violent attack occurred around 8:10 a.m. Saturday outside an apartment building at 970 Kelly St. in the Foxhurst neighborhood, the New York police said.

The unidentified 33-year-old victim was shot in the groin and midsection, and later suffered traumatic head and body injuries when he was apparently struck on purpose by the fleeing suspect’s car.

He was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital as police continued to search for the suspect. It was not immediately known what led to the heinous morning attack, the New York Post reported.
