The lawsuit asserts that releasing new public records such as photographs, video and audio recordings, and new autopsy data would not do any public good, but would cause the family “irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish and emotional distress,” according to local channel WESH2.

The results of the autopsy were released last week and now they present this lawsuit seeking precautionary measures to prevent further publication, says the court document.

Judge Vincent S. Chu sided with the Saget family and signed an injunction to prevent those public records from being released because, otherwise, the plaintiffs will suffer “irreparable harm in the form of severe mental pain, anguish and anguish.”

This gives the court time to weigh the family’s “legitimate privacy interest” against the public’s demand for disclosure of this information.

The actor died at a hotel in Orlando, where he was found dead by authorities on January 9, after accidentally hitting his head.
