Becky G is back with a new song that has the close collaboration of one of the most important figures of merengue. Departures is the title of this theme that the Latin artist presented this week when connecting with LOS40 Global Fair. She also recalled her time at Coachella and stressed the importance of being an artist who can play different styles of music. “Departures It’s a very funny song that makes you want to dance and with a very spicy story. It has a merengue-inspired flow, and with an artist who is an icon like Omega. Every time I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with other artists from the Dominican Republic, it’s always been a great experience. It is a country that has always welcomed me with open arms. In fact, when I did so and so, El Alfa said to me, ‘They love you so much, you have to do something more with my people.’ And when that song came out, Arranca, a producer friend of mine, told me it had to be Omega.”

“My first time on the Coachella stage, I was 15 years old. I played with a group of DJs, guys from Mexico. It was my first time at a festival of this size and I thought a lot of fun. I left thinking, “Next time, I want to be on the main stage.” When Karol invited me it was an honor And when they invited me to do my own show, it was a dream.”

“I’m very proud of this song. This time in Spain was very nice for me because I took my brothers, Francisco and Estefanía, and we went to different cities. We had an amazing time. We even recorded the video there. I’ve always carried these collaborations very close to my heart. When you can share them with another artist who is walking to the next level, it’s very nice”.
