An argument between two women led to one of them intentionally running over the other, leaving her seriously injured, Broward police said.
The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. this Friday in an area near Fort Lauderdale, in the 2600 block of 13 Court in northwest Broward, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) who received factual reports.
Broward police officers and firefighters rushed to the scene and found a critically injured woman, who was reportedly hit by a vehicle. Paramedics transported the woman to a nearby hospital.
Broward Police’s preliminary investigation found the two women had been involved in an argument since at least the previous night, which escalated and ended with one of the women being run over. According to the investigators, the driver of the vehicle voluntarily reversed it and left the scene.
BSO’s Real-Time Crime Center helped locate the vehicle and detectives arrested the driver. Charges against him are pending, police said.
