Miami police are investigating the shooting death of an 89-year-old woman that took place on Friday night. According to police, the crime occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the area of Northwest 52nd Street and 10th Avenue. The patrolmen who went to the site received an alert from Shotspotter.
“Upon arrival, officers found an older female who had apparently been shot,” police said. The unidentified elderly woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where she later died.
