At the corner of Doctor Carmona and Valle in Mexico City, several groups of teenagers break away from the usual Friday night bustle in the Doctores neighborhood. Many have been waiting for hours smiling at the doors of the Cha Chá room: it is the first time they are going to see Aitana at CDMX in this new facet of the artist.

This is the second techno music event offered by the young Catalan, after her premiere at the Lula Club nightclub in Madrid, on the occasion of the presentation of her electronic music project, “Alpha House”, and of course, of his new single, Angels.

Most of them know Aitana from the beginning. Some, like Manu, who discovered the singer in Madrid, and collected the tickets in his city, are visibly moved: “I was very lucky! Tickets sold out immediately.” She tells us that Aitana “experiments her style a lot, she shows us a whole new side, and I love it.”

Fernanda and Salvador, natives of the city, are very eager to “see what mix he can present as a DJ, since the productions of his songs are half housera, poperas and urban”. We’ll find them later giving it their all on the dance floor, drink in hand and a hundred shuttlecocks.

The singer is waiting. When he finally appears on stage, the audience goes up

Andrés, José and Isaac come from Mexico City, Costa Rica and Bolivia respectively. They are fans of Aitana from Factor X, and when asked what song they would like to hear, they are clear: “To excite us and give it our all, I hope she puts on her new song!”.

Inside the room, we chat with Claudia, who is on the verge of shock, just as Aitana appears in the VIP area on the second floor. “Is that her? Is that her??”. “Yeah!!”. The entire hall turns their heads, screaming with excitement to see their flesh-and-blood idol.

Aitana starts the set con swayby Thalia, a nod to Mexican culture, and in particular to the gay community

The singer is waiting. When she finally appears on stage, alongside the DJ and creative director Andrea Vandall, the audience goes up. Isaac tells us that the song the set begins with, swayof Thalia, “is a nod to Mexican culture, and in particular to the gay community.” The room shouts “beautiful and beautiful and beautiful, and beautiful, and beautiful, and beautiful!”, and little by little, the singer lets go. “I have a little jet lag,” he apologizes. It does not matter. The public is delivered.

Con cooked of Bellakathoh Kissof Rosalia and Rauw Alejandro, Cell phones are kept in the audience to enjoy the dance. But it is only at the close of the set that the climax occurs. The song that everyone was waiting for closes an intense and brief session: Angels. The song, with influences from the world of electronics and house, is, in the words of the artist, “a critique of what they will say”.

Closing her set in style, Aitana says goodbye to a city that promises to follow in her footsteps: “Aitana has an angel, if she takes advantage of Mexico, she can grow a lot here”…

We will be there in the meantime!
