The Memphis Police (MPD) issued an alert to be on the lookout for an armed and dangerous man who, according to the authorities, is shooting through the streets of the city, for which he asked citizens to remain protected.

Police identified the suspect in the multiple shootings as Ezekiel Kelly, a 19-year-old black man who broadcast his attacks on Facebook Live.

The suspect, according to the official description, uses a blue sedan, possibly an Infiniti with a broken rear window, for which he called on citizens to take cover and call 911 if they can see him.

In their last report, the Police announced that the suspect is still a fugitive, “If you don’t have to be outside, stay inside until this is resolved.”

MPD said there are reports the man filmed himself shooting and posting the videos on Facebook.

The University of Memphis also sent an alert to students about a shooting at Patterson and Southern and said the shooter left the area immediately. It’s unclear if that incident is related to the MPD alert.
