I’m looking for a reference to one of the company’s games that could serve as a joke to break the ice, but I can’t find it
The truth is, the way Konami has handled some of its great sagas in the past, like Metal Gear, makes you want to kill someone… but figuratively, no one wants to spend a few years in a cell watching your partner spends every day sharpening a toothbrush until it becomes a skewer. Curiously, everything I have just told you takes on its full meaning with the news that I bring to you here, because there is a Konami employee who, indeed, will spend time behind bars.
Putting aside all the jokes that can be made about Metal Gear: Survive and the murderous instincts that this game could awaken, the case that I report to you here is particularly sad, since It aims to be another of those situations carried out by what is called workplace bullying. I leave you below with all the details so that you have a general plan of what happened.
The near-murder at the Konami offices
- As they collected it in Siliconera, a Konami employee has been arrested in recent hours for serious assault on his boss
- According to the facts, the employee threatened his superior with a fire extinguisher and even attacked him in the back of the head
- Luckily, the rest of the teammates managed to stop him before things got worse
- According to various internal company accounts, this employee suffered various types of abuse from his boss
- According to the suspect, Konami’s human resources department assured that there was no mistreatment; although he was changed teams
- the suspect admitted to the police that it was indeed a real assassination attempt
Panic; Do not you think so? I would like to put some corner here so that I can talk to you one way or another with one of the Konami video games (like Silent Hill 2 remake), but I don’t think it would sit well with an event that is drawn as something surreal.
