A car landed on a train track after leaving the 210 freeway in Irwindale early Thursday morning.
The car was traveling eastbound on the 210 Freeway when it veered off the road at Irwindale Avenue just before 5 a.m., according to reports from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A Metrolink train collided with the vehicle but the driver had exited the car prior to the accident. He fled the scene soon after and authorities are unsure if he was injured after falling onto the tracks.
