A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot at a birthday party near the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday night.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD), at around 9:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in a fifth-floor room of a hotel on the 200 block of Flamingo Road near Koval Lane. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old inside the room with a gunshot wound.
The teenager was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he later died.
Police say there was a birthday party for an 18-year-old in the room, and as the night wore on more and more uninvited people showed up.
An argument began which led to a shootout. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived and no arrests were made, police said. The only description police had of the suspect was a black male in dark clothing.
