Nihon Falcom has updated the teaser website to Ys X: Norwegian with new gameplay details, screenshots and information on the leading duo. Ys X: Norwegian It will only have two playable characters, Adol Christin and Carja Varta, and will use the new Cross Action system. the events of Ys X: Norwegian arrive between Yes I and II there Ys: Memories of Celceta, chronologically, and are based on the travelogue entitled “Lost Paradise in the North”. The new Cross Action system allows players to switch between Solo mode and Combination mode. In single-player mode, the player controls Adol or Carja, with the AI partner acting automatically. During battle, the player can switch characters at any time by pressing a single button, similar to recently used systems. Yeah Games. Enemy attacks with a blue aura can be easily dodged in Solo mode.
Meanwhile, in combo mode, Adol and Carja are controlled at the same time. Increases damage and number of attacks dealt, but slows movement and running speed. In combo mode, the player can guard against attacks. This increases the vengeance gauge, allowing the activation of a special ability that deals heavy damage to enemies. Red enemy attacks can only be blocked in combo mode.
In Ys X: Norwegian, Adol Christin is a 17-year-old adventurer on his way to Celceta. Meanwhile, Carja is the only daughter of Grimson, the head of the Varta Navy. Carja is known as the Pirate Princess. Japanese visual artist toi8 will be in charge of character design. He previously worked as a character designer for I am Setunathere Showtimes Tokyo Mirage #FE.
Yuki Kaji voices Adol in the Japanese dub of Ys X: Norwegian. Kaji lent his voice to Koichi Hirose in the anime adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: The Diamond is Unbreakable and recent JoJo’s fighting games, Hope Estheim around the final fantasy XIII trilogy, and Phoenix Wright in the animated adaptation of ace lawyer.

Ys X: Norwegian is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4, and is slated for release in 2023 in Japan.
