Before playtest, executive producer of Ubisoft San Francisco marco rubin had some interesting comments to share about what gamers can expect from XDefiant in general, noting that it can’t compete when it comes to budget and production value, so the team is “just trying to make a game that focuses on being fun.” That’s exactly what he had to say on Twitter:

“Honest take. XDefiant is made by a small team within Ubisoft and we don’t have as much money as other FPS in this space or the amount of people and engine that’s been making this game for 20 years.

We won’t beat them on production value, but we’re trying to create a game here that focuses purely on fun. We want to make a game that our community loves and that our community loves. We want to listen and be transparent about what we are doing and what we can do.”

Rubin also noted that the intention is to make the gameplay feel like something older. Obligation securities
