One Xbox project that remains shrouded in mystery is the team’s next collaboration with Kojima Productions, of course helmed by famed developer Hideo Kojima. We know it’s happening, we know it involves “the cloud” in some way, but beyond that we’ve been left in the dark so far.
Unsurprisingly, the Xbox team should know a lot more than we do, especially after a recent visit to Kojima Productions headquarters. Xbox head Aaron Greenberg posted about the visit, which happens to be the editorial team’s first visit to Kojima’s offices.

It’s great to see, especially when it comes to reassuring everyone that this project is still moving forward. However, it may be best not to expect this game to release very soon. Greenberg says this visit will “launch an exciting journey ahead,” hinting that there’s still a lot of development to be done to bring Kojima’s Xbox project to life.
It’s fine with us: when you hire Kojima for something, you give him the time he and his team need to build something great. In the meantime, we’d love one of these Xbox and Kojima Productions hoodies, they look amazing!
