Update: It looks like the Candy Crush Saga Xbox ad turned out to be a mistake. Shortly after this article was published, the ad was quickly removed from the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox.

Our best guess here is that the PC version of Windows 10 was accidentally showing up in the Xbox Store.

We will let you know if we have any further developments in this regard.

original story: Microsoft doesn’t own the company behind the mobile megahit candy Crush yet (although progress is being made on that front), but it looks like we might be getting the game on Xbox for the first time in the near future.

Microsoft Rewards is already advertising the title on Xbox, which takes you to the product page when you click the link. There’s no release date, but we assume it will be very soon, as long as the listing isn’t an error of course.

Interestingly, an Xbox One compatible version of Candy Crush Saga has also been released. seen in August and September 2022 by various Xbox users as part of their game libraries, and it still exists today labeled “Xbox One” if you search for it on the official Xbox mobile app, but as far as we know you still can’t find it there access on console. That being said, there are also several other games labeled “Xbox One” in the official Xbox app that are not accessible on the console.

Microsoft already offers the game on multiple platforms, including Windows PC, so an Xbox release makes sense. We’ll have to wait and see if that comes to fruition and if it will be well optimized for the console, if so.
