While there’s a lot to explore in WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1, including an all-new quest-filled area and more to discover, one of its best additions is made even better by the reveal of the Dragon Hats. That’s right, Blizzard’s long-running fantasy MMORPG will now let you unlock dragon mount helmet customizations by befriending WoW’s lovable new moles, the Niffen.
Loomm Niffen’s renown bounties have a lot to offer, giving you plenty of reasons to befriend scent creatures. There’s Snail Racing, a new Morsel Sniffer mount, plenty of item upgrade materials, and even the ability to brand yourself with the coveted “smelly” title. However, my personal favorite is the drake helmet for your fellow dragon riders.
The option to customize your mount’s helmet for riding WoW dragons has been visible since the release of WoW Dragonflight, but will now be available in the WoW 10.1 patch (via Wowhead). There are several options available from the various dragon riding mounts that pair well with existing armor sets.
You can unlock dragon mount helmet customizations in WoW Dragonflight by reaching renown level 19 with the Niffen faction. Dragonriding is possibly one of the best parts of Dragonflight, so I’m very happy to see our trusty companions getting a bit more sturdy head protection to make sure nothing untoward smacks them in their lovely faces so as we soar through the islands from the Dragon.
