In recent years, it is not uncommon to see former renowned developers embark on the creation of their own studio.

At a time when the video game industry continues to develop and take on more and more importance, It is not surprising to see the creation of many studios, such as Wildlight Entertainment.

Wildlight: A New Studio From Former Call of Duty and Apex Developers

Indeed, Chad Grenier, the former game director of Apex Legends, recently announced some great news via his Twitter account. The man is happy to formalize the creation of his own studio after several months of hard work and preparation, with a first project already in mind.

Other former members of the Apex Legends development teams have also joined the ranks, including Jason McCord, David Osei, and Rodney Reece. But that’s not all because some developers who worked on the Call of Duty franchise are there too, like Mohammad Alavi.

He is now lead designer at Wildlight Entertainment, Alavi is behind some of the most iconic missions in the Activision-Blizzard franchise. Examples include “No Russian” from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and “All Ghillied Up” from Call of Duty 4.

In addition to announcing the creation of the studio, Chad Grenier said that the teams are currently working on an unreleased license for “some time”but no further information was provided other than the mention “epic shooter”.
