With the Wild Hearts release date fast approaching, we still don’t know a lot about EA and Koei Tecmo about Capcom’s hit Monster Hunter series. To celebrate the impending release, we now have a Wild Hearts story trailer that dives deep into the world of fantasy gaming, check it out below.
Wild Hearts will be released on February 16.as EA built this new IP with Koei Tecmo with the clear hope of rivaling the cooperative mayhem in Capcom’s giant monster series.
“Enter Minato City to meet allies who will aid you in your hunt and help protect the people of Azuma in Wild Hearts,” EA writes. “Meet Natsume, Ujishige, and many more. From blacksmith to scientist, everyone will be crucial to your survival against the fierce Kemono. Villagers, along with fellow hunters and the ancient technology known as Karakuri, will help you to emerge victorious against the mightiest beasts.”
The city of Minato and its people are the focus of this Wild Hearts trailer, with your allies providing different services as you hunt monsters and protect the city.
With the imminent release of Wild Hearts, we at PCGamesN are thrilled the Capcom series has some competition as it can only be good for everyone involved. Wild Hearts will also have crossplay, in-game voice chat, and systems like co-op revives and base camps. If these changes prove successful and popular on the Monster Hunter formula, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Capcom adapting some of them.

If you’re wondering about the Kemono, there will be over 20 at launch with more to come as free DLC. The team wants to focus more on “quality over quantity” with their giant monsters, and don’t worry, all post-launch content will be free, not just every new Kemono.
