white received a new update on Switch this week, moving it to version 1.1.2.

Various improvements have been made across the board regarding gameplay, connectivity, controls, and more. Players will also find a more stable experience thanks to bug fixes.

The full patch notes are as follows:

  • Fixed an issue in Chapter Select where repeated key inputs during the loading screen would result in an infinite loading screen
  • Fixed an issue where the title would not progress past the save warning screen when there was no active internet connection
  • Improvements to the HUD, UI, main menu, and the display and functionality of interactive elements.
  • Fixed an issue in the options menu where changes were no longer being saved after many repeated changes.
  • Improvements made to the character selection screen, especially in the management of the second controller.
  • General gameplay improvements have been made to the interactivity of the wolf and fawn with the environment, such as jumping or entering an unwanted area, getting stuck and not being able to move forward, or the wolf being able to jump onto a high ledge without support fawn (if applicable) and many other fixes
  • Made improvements to Geese, Goats, and Brothers sections to ensure NPCs spawn correctly. Advancement and advancement stages cannot be skipped or players cannot be prevented from continuing.
  • Fixed many reported gameplay issues that caused the game to freeze or crash, including collision and progression errors.
  • Camera functionality has been improved: transitions and clipping on objects/environment have been smoothed or fixed
  • When playing in online co-op, improvements have been made to the display of the second character.
  • Puzzle interactivity has been improved, especially for the Gosling Wind puzzle at the end of Chapter 5.
  • General connectivity fixes for local and online co-op game modes based on user reported issues and feedback.
  • Addressed a reported issue in local play after launching and then canceling a game multiple times in a row where the loading symbol remained present even after a client joined
  • Localized text should now appear correctly (depending on the user’s language settings) when a client has connectivity issues
  • Fixed an issue that occurred after completing an online session and waiting for credits, when returning to multiplayer game modes, one of the users would lose functionality with the side and back buttons.
  • Fixed an issue when closing and/or interacting with the pause menu in an online game that resulted in a user being disconnected
  • Improvements to various connectivity issues that were causing out of sync and/or loss of functionality
  • Fixed reported errors when linking Steam and Epic Games Store accounts that caused the Invite a Friend submenu functionality to not work.
  • Fixed various issues such as: local game search not responding, attempting to select a character in one of the online modes results in the user being kicked out of the lobby, or characters not being able to be selected (controllers not responding)
  • In Online Co-op, fixes have been made to the controller remapping menu to display the correct controllers for both users.
  • Addressed several use cases for controller disconnect issues, including in single player local multiplayer that disconnects a controller causing the pause menu to only appear for whoever currently controls both characters.
  • When switching from online multiplayer to single player, pop-up action prompts have been fixed and should display the correct inputs for local controllers.
  • When player 1’s controller is disconnected, player 2’s controller becomes the primary controller
  • Fixed an issue where the controller would not completely override keyboard functionality in the online multiplayer lobby
