Riot Games has released a gameplay trailer for Mageseeker, showcasing the title’s pixelated art style and fast-paced action. The trailer ends with the game’s release date: April 18. The game is developed by Digital Sun and will be published by Riot Forge, a subsidiary studio of main company Riot Games. The Mageseker: A League of Legends Story will be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. You can pre-order the game from all available digital stores, and pre-ordering it will net you a Silverwing pre-order bonus.

The Magesseeker story follows Sylas as he raises his rebellion against the kingdom of Damecia. Demacia is known for suppressing wizards and magic, establishing an order called the Wizard Hunters to hunt down wizards. Sylas was part of the order before rebelling against the kingdom and raising its army. Sylas is usually portrayed as an evil figure in League of Legends lore, often coming into direct conflict with heroes like Lux. Mageseeker, the game, will feature Sylas as an anti-hero fighting to overthrow an unjust system.

The main gameplay of Mageseeker involves Sylas using his chains to attack his enemies, being able to absorb spells from enemies and reflect them back. The title is divided into different missions, and after each mission, more people will join Sylas’ rebellion. Other Champions from the League of Legends series that will be part of the game are Lux, Morgana, Jarvan IV, and Shyvana. Other League of Legends spin-off titles include Song of Nunu, featuring Nunu and his bestial sidekick Willump, and Convergence, featuring time-traveling boy Ekko.
