Arataki Itto is a new 5-star character in Geo Claymore who functions primarily as a primary DPS. However, building this character is a unique challenge due to how his scales work. While most DPS characters want to stack large amounts of Attack, Itto wants to stack large amounts of DEF.
This is similar to how Noelle’s DPS builds in Constellation 6. In Constellation 6, Noelle converts half of her total DEF to ATK, greatly increasing her damage output. Itto works the same way, converting a significant amount of his DEF into true damage. So your build will work a little differently than most other characters. The best weapons for Arataki Itto in Genshin Impact

For those who can spend, his best weapon is easily the Redhorn Stonethresher, his signature weapon. The weapon increases a character’s Crit DMG by over 80% and increases their DEF by 28%. If that wasn’t enough, a character’s normal and charged attack DMG are increased by 40% of their DEF. It’s perfect for Arataki Itto for those who spend a lot.
Small spenders can look for another excellent 4-star alternative, the Serpent Spine. This weapon increases a character’s critical rate and increases a character’s DMG based on how long they spend in the field. It’s a good alternative for those who can’t spend that much to get the Redhorn Stonethresher but can still spend the money. This weapon can be purchased through the Battle Pass, which costs $10.
For free-to-play players, you can use Whiteblind. Whiteblind boosts your DEF and boosts your ATK and DEF on hit. It’s not his best weapon, but Whiteblind is still a great alternative for those who have Arataki Itto but can’t spend more money on their other weapons.
Best Artifacts for Arataki Itto in Genshin Impact

Arataki Itto will usually only work with one set of Artifacts. This is the Husk of Opulent Dreams Artifact Set, which specifically increases DEF% and Geo DMG% through its effects. Aim for these sub-stats:
- Critical damage: Crit DMG is your best sub stat here, as you passively gain Crit Rate through your Ascends.
- CRIT Rate: You will still need to build up a crit rate. In general, you’ll want at least 60% to 70% Crit Rate and double the amount of Crit DMG.
- DEF %: ATK is less desirable on Itto due to how their team works. DEF% will further increase your damage.
- Energy Refill: Itto has an expensive elemental burst, which makes it a bit difficult to reliably reload each round. Something from Energy Recharge can help.
It is not recommended to use an alternate set for Itto. His kit is restrictive and only really works if you build DEF%. As a result, you really want to farm exclusively for this set.
Best team for Arataki Itto in Genshin Impact

Arataki Itto’s best team will be a full or heavy Geo team. Unfortunately, many of its best under-DPS supports and characters are expensive. Zhongli and Albedo, for example, are 5-star units that work well with him. But as 5-star units, they are not easy to obtain and therefore not accessible to many players.
Gorou is his best support., while increasing DEF% and Geo DMG% for the team. As a result, more often than not, you’ll want to configure Gorou. Here are some of their best teams:
