One of the challenges you need to complete for the new Geralt of Rivia quests set in Fortnite is to eliminate three opponents on horseback. Although the objective is simple, the wording may seem rather vague to some, especially new players. While it’s well known that the battle royale island is full of vehicles that battlers can drive on the map, most of them don’t count as “mounted”. For example, driving an enemy player up and out of a truck window does not count as a mounted takedown.

The reason driving most vehicles and getting a kill doesn’t work to complete Geralt of Rivia Quest is that being “ridden” refers to riding three particular entities in Fortnite: boars, wolves, and off-road motorcycles. Boars and wolves will appear at random points on the map, especially in “Wild Areas” that are some distance from landmarks or major cities. For example, we found a wolf in the woods southwest of Anvil Square after about five minutes of searching. Alternatively, dirt bikes can be found just about anywhere and are much easier to acquire. These vehicles are always parked and do not wander around like boars or wolves.

Of course, finding a boar, wolf, or dirt bike to ride is the easiest part of the quest. The hardest part of the Fortnite challenge is getting three kills in one of these games. Although dirt bikes are easier to find, using them in combat can be tricky unless you’re moving slowly or parking in place. On the other hand, you have a lot more maneuverability when aiming at targets above a boar or wolf. Naturally, those who play bots or new players will have no problem defeating their opponents when leveled up in Fortnite. However, those in the “higher elo” may find this Geralt of Rivia quest much more difficult.
