The Warhammer 40k Darktide patch notes for update 1.0.30 are here, and they’re huge. So huge, in fact, that even developer Fatshark says “there are too many patch notes to list in a single announcement.” With tons of quality of life improvements, more rewarding challenges, and easier updates coming to Grimdark’s co-op play along with a host of weapon balance changes, there’s a lot going on. to do, so let’s take a look. see. What’s new.

Right off the bat, you’ll be pleased to hear that the vast majority of these changes are beneficial to players on and off the battlefield. Wargear sets are now available for customization, meaning you can save up to five loadouts, including all of your chosen weapons and curiosities, cosmetics, and talents. If you’re looking for a particular piece of gear, you can now purchase brand-specific weapons from the Armory Exchange.

Changes to weekly Sire Melk bounties make them easier to complete and with higher Ordo Bar payouts for it. You will also be able to repeat the tasks an unlimited number of times to get the ones you are happy with. There will also be more quests available on the quest board, with rewards increasing as difficulty increases.

Shrine of the Omnissiah prices have been adjusted based on item rating, making it “much more viable” for low-tier mods. You will also be able to extract perks from weapons by sacrificing them and then using them on other weapons of the same brand. These earned perks are equally shared among all characters on your account. On top of that, Consecrated items are now more likely to unlock higher tier perks and perks.

You will now get the Emperor’s Gift whenever you successfully complete a quest, with a higher difficulty level or additional conditions that improve your chances of receiving a higher rarity item.

There are also many quality of life improvements. All weapon brands will now have unique HUD icons, instead of sharing them in a weapon model; this means, for example, that you can now clearly distinguish each of the Psyker’s staffs. Your inventory and that of shops can now be sorted by rank or item type, and a bunch of character emotes have been added that you can use in the central area.

There’s also the aforementioned weapon balance: most aim to improve the perks of weapons considered weaker, with improvements to various perks that Fatshark deemed “modest or sometimes downright unnecessary in their previous format.” He adds that the team welcomes continued player feedback post-update and hopes to consider weapon builds as a core part of their patch rotation going forward.
