Iron Gate gave us more details about the Valheim Ashlands update, and it presents a pretty compelling reason to stay above water. The next biome to be added to Valheim is a haunted volcanic region located in the southern part of the map and it promises to be an exciting addition to one of the best cooperative survival games on PC. We also received news of the Hildir’s Quest update, which includes new helmet options and new difficulty settings.

Iron Gate says in a new blog that “the preproduction in Ashlands is in full apogeo with the conceptual art and the earth’s roots”, algunas de las cuales, como los conceptos de armas de Valheim Ashlands, se han compartido en las social redes del crew. “It’s really fun to be able to read your feedback on design ideas so early in the process,” the blog continues.

“Right now, we’d like to show you another piece of enemy concept art.” Note that we’ll be showing concept art of the enemy in question, so if you’re looking to avoid any Spoilers for the Ashlands of Valheim so maybe look away, although if you’ve made it this far you’re probably already looking forward to what’s to come.

Iron Gate asks a simple but chilling question: “What if the waters around Ashlands were inhabited by something that made it a little harder to get to shore…”

Meet the BoneMaw snake, then. It’s hard to tell from this picture how big it will be, but frankly, it looks big to me. Few things scare me more in games than the mysterious horrors that lurk beneath the surface of vast bodies of water, so needless to say, I’m very excited about this news.

Meanwhile, the team is working on its smallest Hildir’s Quest update, which includes new difficulty settings. “We’re testing a hard mode and an easy mode,” Iron Gate explains, “but also a casual mode where you don’t lose gear on death.” This is certainly good news for those who find the stress of risking it all more distasteful than appealing.

Iron Gate says, “Normal mode will always remain the most balanced version of the game, but we hope that adding more ways to play can challenge experienced players and open up the game to players who prefer to take a break. ” and relaxed approach. There’s definitely something inherently peaceful about Instant Adventures in Valheim, so I can definitely see the appeal of a friendlier change for those who want it.

Hildir’s Quest also includes the ability to wear helmets while keeping your hair visible, which is certainly a welcome change for those of us who opted for gorgeous Viking locks only to realize we had to choose between style and safety. . There’s also a small matchstick from Hildir’s house, showing a chest and a mixing bowl on the floor next to a drying rack.
