LINE Games Corporation today announced that its sandbox RPG of ships Origin of uncharted waters will be released worldwide on March 7. A new cinematic trailer has also been uploaded to the game’s official YouTube channel.
After its worldwide release on March 7th, Uncharted Waters Origin will support English, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) and will be playable on mobile (Android and iOS) and PC (Steam, PC launcher from LINE Games, FLOOR ), and Steam Bridge. Crossplay functionality will also be available.
Co-developed by LINE Games affiliate development company Motif and KOEI TECMO GAMES, Uncharted Waters Origin is a sandbox RPG of ships where players can enjoy trading, combat and adventure content set in the Age of Discovery 16th century. Celebrating 30 years of franchise heritage, Uncharted Waters Origin builds on the series’ most popular titles, Uncharted Waters II: New Horizons there Unknown Waters: Gaiden.
The game recreates the original series with 4K graphics from Unreal Engine 4 and over 104 songs performed by an orchestra, including original YoKo Kanno themes, contributing to the immersive experience. First released in South Korea, Uncharted Waters Origin won four awards at the Korea Game Awards 2022, including Grand Prize, Best Screenplay, and Sound category.
All pre-registered players will be rewarded with in-game items that support growth, such as ships and equipment. More info on the official website.
