We checked the timeline to make sure we’re past April 1, as well-known tipster Tom Henderson has claimed that Sony will be releasing new hardware ahead of the rumored PS5 Pro. However, it’s unclear if he’s specifically talking about playstation hardware or any other Sony gaming hardware.

“There’s some other hardware from Sony coming out before Pro that I’m most likely going to talk about very soon,” Henderson said in a live stream. Later he pointed out in a peep that it wasn’t April Fool’s Day and no one has reported the material yet.
Henderson has a pretty good track record when it comes to leaks, but Sony has yet to announce some of the hardware it recently leaked, including the new PS5 with removable drive and PS5 Pro.
While there’s no indication he’s talking specifically about PlayStation hardware, there’s already been an influx of PS Vita 2 jokes, but keep your expectations in check. Sony’s INZONE has launched PS5 and PC compatible gaming peripherals like gaming monitors and headsets, so Henderson might be referring to another peripheral.
In the same live stream, Henderson also corroborated reports that Sony will be hosting a major PlayStation showcase ahead of Summer Game Fest 2023 in June.
