XDefiant: Ubisoft’s FPS becomes clearer
since this morning, Ubisoft organizes new “Insider Sessions” to allow some players to try the game and give their opinion. These sessions will take place from February 16 to 20 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. But what is it really?
Participants in this session You will have the opportunity to try 4 game modes as well as 13 maps including one located directly on Yara, location of the Far Cry 6 adventure.. Remember that Ubisoft released the game in July 2021 as Tom Clancy’s XDefiant. We find there in particular the different Tom Clancy universes of the studio: Rainbow Six, The Division or even Ghost Recon. Additionally, Ubisoft has announced that elements from other franchises will be added later. This announcement was made in March 2022, but since then, it must be said that we have been waiting impatiently.
Ubisoft defined XDefiant as “a fast-paced, free-to-play arena shooter that combines intense combat with specialized gear and factions”. The game is developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and is notably directed by Mark Rubin, who was executive producer at Infinity Ward when Call of Duty Modern Warfare was released..
After complicated announcements for the studio and a mess of cancellations lately, XDefiant seems to be on the right track. to be published in a few months. In these cancellations, one can remarkably think of “Project Q”. Anyway, it would not be impossible that the game arrives at the end of the year or at the beginning of the year if we are to believe these test sessions.
